Hoima District Commits to Improving Access to Safe Water, Education in Buseruka and Kabaale Communities

Hoima District leadership has reassured communities in Buseruka and Kabaale Sub Counties of improving access to safe water and education services.

During a community BARAZA held at Buseruka Sub County today, several stakeholders including residents and leaders from both Sub counties commended the district for implementing several government projects.

However,they have reported that access to safe water remains a big challenge in the wake of the growing population.They have also raised the issue of improving access to schools along the Lake Albert shore commmunities.

The Hoima District Education Officer, Madam Kihumuro Harriet has urged local leaders to mobilize parents on the issue of reducing school drop out vice which is common among fishing communities.

Madam Nakalungi Sarah Aziz CAO Hoima Commended  residents,leaders and technical team for supporting the initiative of conducting performance review engagements which has closed the gap between  the  people and the district administration.She says such engagements will continue to support service delivery.

The BARAZA was closed by Hon Hellen Mulumba the Secretary for Finance, Planning and Administration who represented the District Chairperson.She has urged the technical team to put much emphasis on identifying challenges in communities and solving them to improve on their livelihood.She says Hoima District has dedicated resources to improve on road infrastructure, health, education and production.
