Hoima residents and leaders have agreed to accelerate service delivery in areas of health, education,roads and agriculture
The leaders ans technical team interacted with residents in Kigorobya County during a community BARAZA held at Kigorobya Town Headquarters on Wednesday 12th August,2026.
During the community BARAZA which has been termed as a performance review engagement,the district technical team led by Madam Nakalungi Sarah Aziz presented a consolidated performance report for the financial year 2025/2026 detailing the achievements and implemented projects in key service centers like education, health, community based services,road infrastructure, agriculture and production, trade and tourism.
Residents commended the district for extending PDM services and working on roads which have improved on people’s livelihood.However, they called for improvements in agriculture extension services, health and education.
Hon Uthuman Mugisha Kadiri the Chairperson, Hoima District said the district is totally committed to delivering services to people even when financial resources are not sufficient.He warned schools against collecting illegal fees.He said the district has greatly improved on the road network using the One Billion shillings funding from the government.
The HOIMA RDC Mbabazi Rogers commended the CAO for coming up with the performance review engagement which he said will help get feedback from the community.He urged the technical team to improve on areas of concerns raised by local people.
Madam Nakalungi Sarah Aziz CAO Hoima Commended the district Chairperson, the RDC, the Speaker,local leaders and stakeholders for turning up for the BARAZA in large numbers.She said that the district will continue to organize such engagements on a quarterly basis for service delivery improvement.
