Prime Minister launches UGX 5.9 Billion construction works on upgrading of Buseruka Health Center Three ahead of AFCON 2027.

The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robbinah has launched the construction works to upgrade Buseruka Health Center Three to a health center Four Status in preparation for the AFCON 2027.
The construction works will be executed by the UPDF ENGINEERING BRIGADE in only six months at a cost of 5.6 Billion Shillings.
Speaking to jubilant residents and leaders in Hoima District at Buseruka Health Center Three today, Nabbanja said that the government will commit more 2.3 Billion Shillings to equip the health facility to the required standards. She said the government is investing more than 500 billion shillings in Bunyoro region as preparations for the AFCON hit the high gear.She has commended President Yoweri Museveni for considering Bunyoro region for mega projects like Hoima City Stadium, Kabalega International Airport,Oil Roads,Hoima Training Facility, Upgrading of Hoima Regional Referral Hospital and which are changing lives of people.
The Hoima District Chairperson Uthuman Mugisha Kadiri has commended the NRM government for considering Hoima District for the project. He has retaliated the need for the government to extend more piped water to people in Buseruka and Kabale Sub counties which are water stressed.
The Prime Minister was joined by the State Minister for Bunyoro Affairs Mary Mugasa,Dr Charles Ayume the State Minister for Primary Health Care, Peter Ogwang the State Minister for Sports, National Sports Council and AFCON team, Hoima District leaders and technical team led by Chief Adminstrative Officer Hajjat Sarah Aziz Nakalungi, local leaders and residents of Buseruka and Kabale Sub counties.The UPDF ENGINEERING BRIGADE is expected to have the project completed by December 2026.
