Hoima District, Ministry of Education hand over site for construction of 3.1 Billion Kitoba Seed School.
The Ministry of Education and sports working with Hoima District Local Government has handed over a site to the contractor to start preparations for the commencement of construction works for the 3.1 Billion Shillings Kitoba Seed School in Kiseke, Kitoba Town Council.
The site was on Wednesday handed over to Dolphins Consult Engineers and Contractors Company who will commence the works on 24th June,2026 and complete the project in 10 months.
According to Eng Patrick Bongmin the project supervisor from the Education Ministry,the project includes construction of 4 classroom blocks,2 science laboratories, multipurpose hall,an administration block,ICT hall,a library,a three blocks of staff quarters and sports facilities.
The Hoima District Chairperson Uthuman Mugisha Kadiri commended the government for responding to their requests for support to the school which will help thousands of children access education.He said the district has been fighting hard to get the project implemented.
The Hoima Chief Adminstrative Officer Hajjat Sarah Aziz Nakalungi urged parents to support the project by enrolling their children to the school.She said the district will work with the ministry of education to support the timely completion of the project through strict monitoring and supervision.
Shafih Ntuuyo the Assistant RDC commended tye NRM government for delivering on its mandate of promoting social economic transformation through education.He warned the contractor against deviation from the contract terms and conditions.
The handover function was witnessed by the Kitoba Town Council leadership and local residents.
