Hoima District Hands Over 126 Tablets with Powerbanks to Enhance Parish Development Model-PDM Performance.

The Deputy RDC Hoima Mr. Kyakashari Michael has handed over 126 tablets and power banks to 12 Subcounty Chiefs and 2 Town Clerks for the 14 Lower Local Governments of Hoima today at the District Headquarters.

These tablets are targeted towards enhancing PDM performance through monitoring and supervision by Parish Chiefs, Community Development Officers, District IT Officer and Statistician at the District level and PDM Sacco chairpersons at Parish level.

The RDC called upon the recipients of these gadgets to ensure their effective use to achieve their intended objectives. The distribution of these tablets underscores the government’s vision to digitize operations and enhance efficiency in public service delivery. “These tablets have costed the government a lot of money, let’s use them for the PDM activities and all data collection activities at the parish level to inform government on the strategic directions” He said.

During the handover, the CAO Hoima Mr. Ssempala Emmanuel called upon Subcounty chiefs and town clerks to use the received gargets to improve service delivery. He highlighted that government is providing the necessary support at the different levels and so the implementers of the different programs should support government to improve the livelihood of the communities
