Hoima District has today held its budget conference for the financial year 2024/2025.

Hoima has today held its budget conference for FY 24/25 at the district headquarters with the aim of preparation of a budget framework paper for the district, taking into consideration balanced development, gender and equity responsiveness in consultation with the different stakeholders.

The objectives for this consultative meeting was to:

  1. Provide performance for FY 2023/24 and the first quarter of FY 2024/25 as well as discuss issues affecting service delivery;
  2. Provide Government’s Strategic Direction and the Budget Strategy for FY 2025/2026; and
  3. Disseminate Indicative Planning Figures (IPFs), and Grant programme Guidelines for the preparations of the FY 2025/2026 Budget.

The District Chairperson Mr. Mugisa Uthman Mubarak in his opening remarks highlighted the different achievements and challenges in the FY 23/24.  “I implore you to pay interest in ensuring that your departmental budgets are in line with the priorities of Government to grow the district ten-fold in line with the Strategic Direction in the NDPIV” he said.

The Deputy RDC Mr. Kyakashari Micheal urged all stake holders to always give such meetings priority and give feedback to ensure improved service delivery in the district.
