The district has held an interactive performance improvement meeting with different headteaches from the different primary schools in the district. This meeting was aimed at addressing the issues for performance assessment, reporting and school management
The CAO Mr. Ssempala Emmanuel encouraged the headteachers to focus on actions that are aimed towards the improvement of the schools performance. He emphasized that government has created systems and equipped our schools to enable performance in all ways possible. If all this is followed well performance will be seen.
As we wait for government to increase our salary, we should create alternatives that will help us to stay on Job, he said. You should broaden your income and reduce on the expenditures. When you start side daily income you will be able to sustain the daily needs and take care of all the family needs. Personal management will contribute to the school performance, in terms of time management and leaving by example.
During the meeting, the DEO Harriet highlighted that Schools should work with the education department to identify the gaps if there are issues found during inspection these should be worked upon given that performance is not good. Let’s concentrate and strive towards improved performance.
The headteachers pledged to put in the required efforts towards increased performance of the schools in the district.
