RDC Hoima handsover a mortocycle to the Forest Officer supported form the Min. of Water and Environment.

The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Water and Environment under Investing in Forest and protected Areas for Climate Smart Development Project (IFPA-CD) project has supported the district Forest Officer with a mortorcycle.

During the Handover of the mortorcycle, the Deputy RDC Mr. Kyakashari Michael applauded the government of Uganda for supporting the District towards monitoring and supervision of wood lot establishments and agro-forestry systems in the district. He encouraged the Forestry officer to put the motorcycle to right use reaching to the ground level and giving support aimed at protecting the forests.

This support is aimed to improve sustainable management of forests and protected areas and increase benefits from forests and protected areas in the target landscapes.

IFPA-CD Project recognizes the importance of rights and interests of the Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups according to the requirements of Environmental and Social Standard (ESS)7, on (Indigenous Peoples in Sub-Saharan Africa Historically Undeserved Traditional Local Communities which addresses the needs of distinct, vulnerable, social and cultural groups) and on the applicable policies, laws and regulations of Uganda.
