The Country Coordination Mechanism-UCCM Board impressed by implementation of Global Funds interventions in Hoima District

The Uganda Country Coordination Mechanism-UCCM board members have commended Hoima district and implementing partners for implementing the interventions funded by the Global Fund.

The board members who include; George Tamale the representative of private constituency at UCCM and Edward Birakatwate the representative of International NGOs at UCCM visited Hoima Referral Hospital where they had an engagement with Hoima district health officials and others from Hoima City.

The engagement aimed at assessing the impact of Global funds interventions in areas of HIV,TB,Malaria and Sexual Reproductive Health.

While speaking to stakeholders from Hoima district at Kigorobya Health Center Four on Tuesday afternoon,Edward Birakwate said that whereas there are challenges, the health facility has greatly improved on its services to the community with the support from Global funds support.

The board was impressed by proper records management, medicine stock management, client engagement and feedback system and community engagement.

The engagement was also attended by,Hoima District Health Educator and HIV/AIDs focal person,TB focal person, Baylor and TASO representatives.

The board members earlier in the day inspected the oxygen plant and the incinerator at Hoima Referral Hospital.
