Living Earth Uganda has today held a stakeholder engagement meeting with Hoima District LG.

Living Earth Uganda (LEU) is a national NGO that promotes awareness and skills creation in environmental, Socio-economic, developmental and humanitarian programs, to prompt communities and other stakeholders to translate the right ideas into action.

During a partner update meeting held at the district headquarters, LEU highlighted the progress, achievements, challenges and recommendations during the project implementation period.

It was highlighted that 100% of the targeted project affected household – PAHs were disclosed to and enrolled on to the project were by 22 farmer groups have been formed, followed up and trained in governance and conflict management. These PAHs were trained in good agronomical practices for crop, good animal husbandry and good tree management practices.

LEU started operating in the district in 2022 and expected to end its operation in 2025 and in this period it has managed to distribute agro-inputs, mentored and coached farmers in post-planting activities and distributed tree seedlings.

It was noted that there is need to mobilize farmers to participate in commercial agriculture, technology adoption and innovations promotion and enhance environment protection and conservation.
