The District Chairman Hon. Mugisha Uthuman Mubarak Kadiri Junior, accompanied by Vice Chairman Hon. Hellen Mulumba Amooti, visited Magando Nyilia Kibaati in Bombo Subcounty to mediate a land dispute. The issue involves cattle grazers brought by Mwine and local community members, leading to significant conflict over land usage.

The dispute centers on allegations that the cattle grazers have been using land owned by Muhumuza, while local residents claim that their cattle also encroach on Mwine’s property. This overlap in land usage has caused confusion and tension between the two groups.

Chairman Kadiri and Vice Chairman Mulumba urged both sides to remain calm and seek a peaceful resolution. They emphasized the importance of cooperation and mutual respect within the community, stressing that harmony is crucial for coexisting in the same area.

The Chairman also advised thr 2 parties to confine their cattle to their designated lands and avoid encroaching on each other’s property. He also directed Chairman LC1 Albert Aluwa, along with community members and the area land committee, to closely monitor land boundaries to prevent future disputes.

He additionally requested that Mwine and his cattle grazers should visit the LC1 office to present proof of their land purchase agreement. This request aimed to clarify their legal standing, as the LC1 was not previously informed of their arrival.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to work together for the betterment of their community. This collaborative spirit marks a positive step towards resolving the conflict and fostering a more harmonious environment in Magando Nyilia Kibaati Bombo Subcounty.
