The CAO Hoima Mr. Ssempala Emmanuel, has today visited the Construction of a Solar powered irrigation scheme in Bwizibwera village, Kibugubya Parish, Kyabigambire Subcounty, funded under the Ministry of Water and Environment.
He encouraged the community beneficiaries to diversify the agriculture activities and plant high value crops. The farmers should be empowered to carry out the 4acre Model and startup demonstration farms that can be used for field visits in the subcounty using this irrigation scheme when finished, he said.
This Irrigation scheme is being constructed by Nexus Green Solar energy company and owned by the ministry of water and environment and funded by the ministry of finance.
